Ruby Lonesome is an eclectic little corner cafe servicing Sydney’s Inner-West.
We are primarily plant based, we value premium coffee, excellent food, quality baked goods and traditional good service above everything else.
We are not like other cafe’s.
We are your new favourite cafe.
And we are here for a gay time.
People often ask, who is Ruby? And if you’re standing in the cafe, The short answer is- you’re in her. But the long answer is Ruby Lonesome is the physical manifestation of a 10 year #RideOrDie relationship, Ruby Lonesome is a reaction to other cafes, to other spaces, to other menus. Ruby Lonesome seeks to fill a hole in the market, to fill a hole in Sydney.
When we found her, she was run-down, without a floor, and she needed a lot of love, but she had good bones, good energy, she was the kind of girl that Patsy Cline was singing about in Walking After Midnight, and we thought she deserved a name, so we called her Ruby Lonesome.
